Philippine Bank Codes: Paypal Withdrawal Updates

This is an update to the previous list of bank codes I last posted. James of Pinoymoneytalk has told me that the list is now updated (thanks again, bro!) and PAYPAL has released an official list of Philippine bank codes.

Ok,so before you log in or sign up to Philippine paypal and link up your bank accounts, check first your local bank's code. You're going to need this 9 digits bank code along with your bank account number to complete the process.

Yeah, you read the title right, folks! ALL THE LOCAL PHILIPPINE BANKS CAN NOW BE USED TO WITHDRAW YOUR PAYPAL FUNDS!!! This is so good news to fellow Pinoys who have a hard time withdrawing their paypal monies. You can now link your Paypal account to any bank in the Philippines and get your money within 5-7 days, unlike before that only selected credit cards and banks are available.

I actually have two paypal accounts - a new Phils. account and my old Paypal Australia account. I have set up a Philippine account coz i am currently here in Pinas, but my problem was I didn't have any Philippine credit card or eon card. So I haven't really used my Paypal Phils. account. I thought of applying for eon, but now I don't have to!!!Yehey!

Why I have to set up 2 paypals, you may ask? Well, since i stayed in Australia for a few years, I set up a paypal there and linked it to my National Australia Bank (NAB) account, which I maintain until now. This is what I use for Dneero and Smorty earnings. I recently set up a Philippine paypal account coz if I use my NAB card to withdraw at any Philippine ATMs, there is a transaction fee of A$4 (about 140pesos!) plus the forex conversion difference - that'd double charges!

This is just right timing! Now all I got to do is link up my Philippine paypal to my BDO account, then change all my payment details for all the money-making programs I joined! Ei, that's so cool!!!

MY ADSENSE ALTERNATIVES

Since my adsense account was disabled, people from adsense has yet to reply after my 3 appeals!!! Oh well, I admit I got pissed a little upon learning that they disabled my account. Now I am getting over it, and come to realize that moneymaking is not just limited to adsense - there are lots of alternatives to earn online. Yeah, there are lucky people out there who earn bigtime from adsense, and I admit sometimes I envy those bloggers who make reports to their adsense earnings.

Nevertheless, even if my adsense daydream has become a nightmare, it's just sort of consolation to find out on the net that there are lots of fellow bloggers who are getting disabled everyday, specially newbies like me who are about to receive their first earnings!! Pity,tsk,tsk. They don't give a damn to us small bloggers, ei?

Oh, well, there are other adsense alternatives out there! I have listed some of the programs that gave me some dollars (not yet for this blog, but my other site). So here are my current adsense alternatives:

1. Bidvertiser - The best alternative for adsense, i think. They are now having more advertisers so I have high hopes for this program. Since lots of bloggers are being disabled by adsense, Bidvertiser publishers are growing!!! So adsense, watch out!

2. Smorty - This is the no.1 earner for my other site. So far, I was already paid $63 dollars for the last 3 weeks, and I still have pending earnings of $18. They pay a minimum of $6 per article. I have signed up for Payperpost, but my other site is not yet approved, but I read lots of bloggers are earning from PPP. I joined blogtoprofit, too, and already made some few assignments but I haven't received any payment yet. Per link, they pay 150pesos (less than $4). I am just waiting for this blogspot to reach 3 months (and some more posts!) before I apply to these paid review programs.

3. Dneero Surveys - Cool surveys! You just need less than a minute to answer the easy questions! My first pay of $20 is already deposited to my paypal, and all I got to do is post my survey response!

4. TTZ Media - this is John Chow's advertising media. So far, so good. I already earned a little from this program, though I haven't met the min. $25 payout.

5. Widgetbucks - I have joined this program few months ago for my other site, but I am not earning much from this so I decided to take out their ads from my site. The only good thing about it is their signing bonus of $25 - of course you need to earn first a minimum of $25, I think, before you get this bonus!

6. Blogsvertise, Kontrera , Sponsored Reviews, Adbrite & Shoppingads - My other site's just been approved on these programs I read lots of good reviews for them, so I hope I earn from these, too.

I know there are lots of adsense alternatives. So whether you are disabled by adsense , disappointed with your cent earnings, or just want to try other programs, you better check out all these adsense alternatives that I listed.

It's so inspiring especially now I am still sulking over my Adsense account being disabled. This video is a very moving and empowering everyone's affirmation for abundance to your life. NIGHTMARE: MY ADSENSE IS DISABLED!

Ok, first I apologize for being lethargic writing here in my dollarsonline site. I was just too busy updating my other website beautifulandhappy.com. I am a novice blogger so everytime I change theme, my mind go agog coz I have a hard time tweaking my lay-out. And whew, I never thought it's hard to maintain a website, let alone 2 sites! So i give my hat to those who can manage with lots of blogs!!! Anyways...................

So now, I finally had the time to write a post here. Supposedly I was going to write a report on how much are my earnings from my blogging so far, both for this site and for beautifulandhappy.com. Last night before I dozed off to sleep, I checked my adsense earnings and it said I already got $80.11 in revenue! I am so happy coz I am already daydreaming how to use the money I would earn this month - I know it's still small, but hey, if you're living in the Philippines, that $80 is about 3,200 pesos - that would have been enough for 1 week run to the grocery!!!

Anyways, so I logged in to my adsense this morning to check it out and what did I got?

MY ADSENSE IS DISABLED!!! So I checked my email and this is what I got:

At least they politely said hello? But HELLO! Why they didn't put any reasons why my account was disabled? They protect both the interests of their advertisers and publishers? But should they say it clearly? I know clicking my own adsense is fraud, so why should I do it in the first place?

I search my former BFF GOOGLE (should I use yahoo or altavista now?) about other blogs disabled by adsense, and whoa! I got a little relief that many others are disabled as well - lots of fellow bloggers -- and many are reinstated (and of course, many too are forever banned - I hope that wouldn't be my case)!

So I filled up their appeal form, but I was advised that they will get to me within 48hours - ok that's about 1 hour ago, so I am waiting now for another 47!!!I hope the appeal would be considered. But for now, my Adsense daydreaming has turned into a nightmare. What would they do to my $80??? They are multi-billion(?) dollars mogul and hey, they are penalizing a small blogger like me who didn't do this click fraud???Hmm, I should have really learned a lesson or two from John Chow and not relying too much on adsense!!! Now I am searching for strategies to earn aside from adsense. Any tips you could give me???

JOHN CHOW the Dot Com Mogul

Every start of the month, I would write about successful netrepreneur who earns bigtime online. This is to inspire me to work harder on my moneymaking journey. I already have started with Ashley Qualls who earns a stagerring $70,000 a month from adsense - surely one lucky 17 year old girl! Where was I when I was 17???

Anyways, my second moneymaker is JOHN CHOW. He's a self-confessed dot com mogul who first built The Tech Zone in 1999, a strong venture for hardware news and reviews. He built another one, the TTZ Media Network, a private shopping network for high quality technology based content sites. This is currently his biggest source of income, though of course, he didn't reveal how much he earns from TTZ.

His other website, John Chow Dot Com, is a haven full of ideas of how to monetize your website, increase traffic and pagerank, and build a successful online business. JohnChowdotcom's catchword is - I make money online by telling people how much money I make online. Hence, he periodically reports his online earnings and for 2007, this site earned a total of $180,305.94.

What amazes me is that, as I am so agog over my Google Adsense clicks and meager cent earnings (like every novice bloggers like me), surprisingly he's not a big fan of Adsense. This is not his biggest income source, and according to his post, it accounts for just 17% of his online income. If you look at his 11 months income graphs, you'll see that he is not a big Adsense earner. His biggest Adsense earning is only $1,246.50 for the month of May (just read somewhere John Chow and Google had an issue - don't have any idea about that, just confused why he doesn't have any google earnings after August?).

Anyways, his top earners are private ad sales, affiliate income, and Review Me, for which John is now charging $450 per blog review!!! Wow, after I have enough money to buy my own domain for dollarsonline, how I wish John would do a review of my site someday - for free! LOLS! For 2008, he's projecting his income for JohnChowdotcom alone to be $300,000 (at the minimum!) in 2008. Now I am drooling, hehe.

Anyways, another reason why I got hooked on his site is because it's not purely about money talks. He mixes the site with his personal ramblings, his love for cars (so obvious on his frontpage!), humor and fun. He's also generous to his readers and newbie bloggers (hopefully to me, too.hehe). He already gave away so far, a miniTV USB, lots of linkbacks (equals much needed exposure for bloggers!), and now he's giving away a Ruff PC worth $5,295! Since he won recently the contest for the best Ruff PC Review, John in return would pick a blogger who voted for him and would instead give the Ruff PC to that lucky one (plus free exposure, of course!). Congratulations John for the good heart, for sure good karma that will come to you. And of course, congratulations, too, to the winner he's going to pick. Darn, why I did I procrastinate about joining John's voting contest? Hmm, lesson learned.

For a newbie blogger like me, who wants to learn how to monetize a blog, John Chow dot Com is definitely a must-read. I am so glad I have subscribed to his RSS, I am now learning a thing or two on how to improve my new site (and hopefully get my own domain - soon!). But for now, I will use John's site as my online money-making "bible", and I am going to start exploring his site again by reading this post, Reward Every Success No Matter How Small - a must-see for new bloggers like me!

Daydreaming About Adsense

I am very optimistic about the idea of earning online, despite me being a novice in the moneymaking blogosphere scene. I already have featured the story of Ashley Qualls who earns $70,000 a month from Adsense, and promise I will feature more online moguls here who are earning HUGE BUCKS by being online! When I say HUGE, I mean really big heaps of MONEY!

So here I am now, in a very tiring yoga position, reciting my moneymaking mantra (MONEY,MONEY,MONEY,MONEY - hehe, what else?). At the same time, wishing that all the good-hearted people visiting here, thru Entrecard, Mybloglog, Blogcatalog and from somewhere else, would click all my Adsense adverts - an act of goodwill, donation, pity - whatever you all feel like. Now I am envisioning my Adsense clicks shooting up, 10, 30, 40, 50, 100 clicks -- til I lose count anymore (coz I can only count til 100, hehe) -- equals $$$$ only Adsense know how much. BOINK! Somebody should hit me on the head.hehe. Really hard. If only Adsense clicks would come that easy, that's my wishful thinking. But hey, there are lots of beautiful souls out there, right? LOLS.

Sigh, enough of my daydreaming coz the truth is, I kinda pity myself, tsk,tsk, my December Adsense earning is only $9.46 for my 2 sites -- not barely enough to buy me a nice shirt -- 5.54 dollars short of my projected $15 dough! But hey, I am not complaining, I have only been here for 5 months and an Adsense member only since October! My site, beautifulandhappy, started late August 2007 and DOLLARSONLINE is just alive for barely a month! I am not sulking really, coz for the last 2 days, my Adsense earnings are peaking up (thanks to some friends and loved ones, LOLS!), I am now earning $4.50 on the average. Wow, a good start for 2008! If that trend would continue for the whole month, I'd be earning $135 for January, yey! Then I may be able to show you my Adsense earnings at last! (sigh some more, deeper this time,hehe)

Ok, enough of my day dreaming (everything starts with a dream, right?) and go back to reality. I gotta work my butt out and earn some more MONEY. Better start with better posts - NOW!!!

8 Moneymaking New Year Resolutions

Hello, guys! Sorry for not writing frequently for the last 2 weeks. 'Been too busy preparing for the holidays, and now the festivities are over I am back again posting for Dollars Online. I need to work double time coz gazillion (i know this is over the moon) blogs are sprouting everywhere, most of which aimed to have a chunck of online money!

Ok, since moneymaking is the main goal of this blog, I have listed my 8 moneymaker tasks for 2008 - sort of a New Year's resolutions.

Write more posts - Not just any post, but interesting and worthy to read blogs (this is the main responsibility of any blog, isn't it?)

Increase traffic - Already joined Mybloglog and BlogCatalog. Will get an ENTRECARD soon. Entrecard is a good way of networking and self-promotion. My other site, beautifulandhappy.com increased traffic (and I got more blogfriends) by joining the 3 blog networks. If you don't have all these three yet, where have you been hiding? LOLS.

Exchange links with other blogs.

Join other blog must-haves - digg, stumble, technorati and all the others.

Read more money-making sites and learn from them and share to you what I've read and learned!

Strategic placing of all my ads for more clicks = more money!

After this site turns 3 months old, I would sign up for the following online moneymaking machines: dNeero survey, smorty and Payperpost. I know there are others but so far, my other site has earned from Smorty and dNeero $20 for last month! Although it wasn't yet approved for PPP, but I have heard lots of good reviews so PPP is also in my list.

Ok, so google search is now my new bestfriend since i am doing lots of googling about Adsense. Based on what i've read, there are 4 simple secrets to earn those dollars through Adsense. So here are the basic tips to succeed in Google Adsense

CONTENT - In the first place, if you don't have no blog entries, why did you have a blog afterall? The more the merrier? Nope, that does not apply in blogging. Writing a few EXCELLENT articles, rather than a bunch of crap articles (hmm, now i'm learning).

KEYWORDS - heard about SEO or search engine optimization?

ADS - where do you put the ads

TRAFFIC - people, reader!!! need i say more? the more the traffic, more impressions, more clicks, more money!!!

It's day 4 of my blog. Not much traffic yet, but at least I got my first comment already! Anyways, my main goal for the next 2 weeks is to drive traffic to my site and write good contents that my future readers would like.

So to start with, I signed up yesterday with Mybloglog and joined other money-making communities. And I am quite happy that almost instantly after joining other money-making communities, some myloglog fellows already viewed this new site.

Hence if you really want to get traffic to your site, I recommend you joining Mybloglog - the best thing to do.

HOW MUCH DO YOU EARN FROM ADSENSE?

Google adsense is definitely a must in your site if you want to earn some dollars on the side. Although, novice bloggers earn just a meager cents for their first few months of existence in the WWW, like me, it is very encouraging to see people actually earning money through Adsense.

Like Ashley Qualls, i talked about my last entry. There are numerous other bloggers out there who are earning decent amount from adsense. Hence, starting with this post, I just wanna ask you how much do you earn from Adsense? I'll started this out, as of today, after signing with Adsense since September, i already earned $1.81. Yeah, i know it's still small, but I am very optimistic, my earnings would increase in due time. :D

I've seen her story from yahoo.com, and now countless sites (including mine) and lots of tv appearances are making this young girl from Detroit a celebrity in her own right. So who is Ashley Qualls?

She's a 17 year old teener who owns the site Whateverlife.com that offers free Myspace layout. At the young age of 9, she was already learning basic web design. In 2004, from the $8 she borrowed from her mom to pay for a host and domain, she applied her knowledge of HTML to building Whateverlife.com. Now her site is a multi-million earner, and earning for her a whopping $70,000 a month from Google Adsense!!!

According to Google adsense analytics, her site receives 7 million visitors and 60 million page views a month. That's more traffic the AmericanIdol.com and Oprah.com get. Her audience is larger than teenage magazines like Seventeen, Teen Vogue, and Cosmogirl, all combined!!!

Wow, her story is truly amazing. Hmm, I wished I also learned html before.Hehehe. That's one lesson learned, but here are the other lessons from this teenage entrepreneur:

The internet is the ultimate equal opportunity employer. Your age, race and gender aren't obstacles, they're opportunities.
Base your internet business on something you love to do. If you're having fun, the money will come.
Be selfless. When Ashley started her website it was all freebies all the time – and still is.
Keep at it. Most really successful online start ups like Whateverlife.com are offshoots of something you're already working on.
You don't need tons of money. Starting an online business is a true "sweat equity" opportunity. Everything you need to get started is available on the web for free if you have the time to look.

Where to Place Google Adsense

Now I realize the truth about adsense' tip that google ads should be placed in noticeable places of the blogsite. The other day, i have worked for almost half of the day putting adsense to those "ideal" spots around my other site:

before the title
after the title
between articles
bottompage

Since only 3 adsense banners would be shown in my static page, i also added google ads to each blog post, including the other pages.

The result? Yesterday i earned 0.54cents from adsense! well, I know it's not enough to even buy me a coffee, but that's good enough compared to the $1 I earned for the first 3 months! To start with, I am aiming for $100 a month. So based on my initial earning, i'd be earning $15 dollars this month. ei, not bad, right? I just need to work hard for more clicks!!! Who knows, maybe by next time i'd be earning those 6figures some bloggers earn!

The Scrupski Rules: How to Be a Successful Blogger

While i was googling for clues on how to be a successful blogger and of course, make money online, I came across this blog of Jerry Bowles. This blog says it all, the 10 simple tricks given by Susan Scrupski to be a successful blogger. Here's the summarized list:

“To thine own self be true.” Find your voice – be sincere. For corporate blogs specifically, number one on the list is never lie.
Write about your passion and write passionately. Whatever it is that you want to blog about, you have to really put your heart and soul into it or it won’t be credible - hey, that's right, so i am now writing about money!!!who's not passionate about it?
Participate in the community. Blogging is not a solo activity (though that is probably one of the greatest myths about blogging). Linking and commenting are key to the experience of blogging and really taking flight in the blogosphere. Encourage comments.
Try to be humble, but if you do have a strong point of view on something, bring it on, get it out there, but be prepared to defend your arguments.
When you reference other bloggers, you should mention them by name as opposed to just linking to them. This is blogger etiquette.(ooppps, did i get this right?)
Check your links. Bloggers are very forgiving, but definitely check your links. Also check your spelling and your grammar and probably in that order.
Don’t ever edit or rewrite something that you wrote in the past. The common courtesy in blogging is to strike through and then rewrite on your blog post, if you have made an error.
Never delete posts. Never delete something that you’ve written. The rule of thumb in the blogosphere is that if you have committed something to digital ink, it’s there for perpetuity and you can’t go back.
Use a human voice, not PR speak.
Keep your posts regular and relatively short. The rule of thumb here is definitely less than 500 words and usually a lot less than that.

Google Adsense

I already have added some google adsense on the body of the web. I have been a member of adsense for almost 4 months now, but most of the ads I put in my other self-hosted website. As I progress through writing more posts here, I will report to all of you how much I earn from google adsense and other money making programs, which I need to check out first if they are truly legit AND REALLY PAYING!!!

This is an experimental blog, just to prove to myself and to everybody else that blogging really pays!!!!Can we really find those dollars online, like many bloggers out there who are making thousands a month? I'd be happy to earn some to pay for lunch, but of course, who wouldn't want to have more? That could pay for a house, car, holiday? There's nothing wrong to dream and wish, right?
