8 Moneymaking New Year Resolutions

Hello, guys! Sorry for not writing frequently for the last 2 weeks. 'Been too busy preparing for the holidays, and now the festivities are over I am back again posting for Dollars Online. I need to work double time coz gazillion (i know this is over the moon) blogs are sprouting everywhere, most of which aimed to have a chunck of online money!

Ok, since moneymaking is the main goal of this blog, I have listed my 8 moneymaker tasks for 2008 - sort of a New Year's resolutions.

• Write more posts - Not just any post, but interesting and worthy to read blogs (this is the main responsibility of any blog, isn't it?)

• Increase traffic - Already joined Mybloglog and BlogCatalog. Will get an ENTRECARD soon. Entrecard is a good way of networking and self-promotion. My other site, beautifulandhappy.com increased traffic (and I got more blogfriends) by joining the 3 blog networks. If you don't have all these three yet, where have you been hiding? LOLS.

• Exchange links with other blogs.
  

• Join other blog must-haves - digg, stumble, technorati and all the others.
  

• Read more money-making sites and learn from them and share to you what I've read and learned!
  

• Strategic placing of all my ads for more clicks = more money!
  

• After this site turns 3 months old, I would sign up for the following online moneymaking machines: dNeero survey, smorty and Payperpost. I know there are others but so far, my other site has earned from Smorty and dNeero $20 for last month! Although it wasn't yet approved for PPP, but I have heard lots of good reviews so PPP is also in my list.
  

• Learn from the comments of fellow readers - So please, feel free to give me more tips on how to earn more online!!! I will appreciate them.

$70,000 Adsense Earnings of Ashley Qualls

I've seen her story from yahoo.com, and now countless sites (including mine) and lots of tv appearances are making this young girl from Detroit a celebrity in her own right. So who is Ashley Qualls?

She's a 17 year old teener who owns the site Whateverlife.com that offers free Myspace layout. At the young age of 9, she was already learning basic web design. In 2004, from the $8 she borrowed from her mom to pay for a host and domain, she applied her knowledge of HTML to building Whateverlife.com. Now her site is a multi-million earner, and earning for her a whopping $70,000 a month from Google Adsense!!!

According to Google adsense analytics, her site receives 7 million visitors and 60 million page views a month. That's more traffic the AmericanIdol.com and Oprah.com get. Her audience is larger than teenage magazines like Seventeen, Teen Vogue, and Cosmogirl, all combined!!!

Wow, her story is truly amazing. Hmm, I wished I also learned html before.Hehehe. That's one lesson learned, but here are the other lessons from this teenage entrepreneur:

• The internet is the ultimate equal opportunity employer. Your age, race and gender aren't obstacles, they're opportunities.
• Base your internet business on something you love to do. If you're having fun, the money will come.
• Be selfless. When Ashley started her website it was all freebies all the time – and still is.
• Keep at it. Most really successful online start ups like Whateverlife.com are offshoots of something you're already working on.
• You don't need tons of money. Starting an online business is a true "sweat equity" opportunity. Everything you need to get started is available on the web for free if you have the time to look.

Where to Place Google Adsense

Now I realize the truth about adsense' tip that google ads should be placed in noticeable places of the blogsite. The other day, i have worked for almost half of the day putting adsense to those "ideal" spots around my other site:

• before the title
• after the title
• between articles
• bottompage
  

Since only 3 adsense banners would be shown in my static page, i also added google ads to each blog post, including the other pages.

The result? Yesterday i earned 0.54cents from adsense! well, I know it's not enough to even buy me a coffee, but that's good enough compared to the $1 I earned for the first 3 months! To start with, I am aiming for $100 a month. So based on my initial earning, i'd be earning $15 dollars this month. ei, not bad, right? I just need to work hard for more clicks!!! Who knows, maybe by next time i'd be earning those 6figures some bloggers earn!
